on Boilard was born and raised in Western New England. In the small town he remembers, grown men either pounded nails or grew tobacco. Jon hadn't the knack for that kind of work so he went west. He has been living and writing in the San Francisco area since 1986. One of his short stories was recently nominated for a Pushcart Prize and several others have won individual small press awards. His fiction and poetry have appeared in literary journals in the United States, Canada and Europe. Jon is currently drinking heavily and working on a novel.
